Although it may seem as though we are walking our personal journey alone, there is a long caravan of ancestors who walk behind us. This cavalcade of ancestors goes back as far as the beginning of our human history. You, now, are at the head of your ancestral caravan.

All of your ancestors are with you as you reach the edge of a deep, wide canyon. The canyon represents a challenge and a choice point for you on your journey. You look around. On your side of the canyon, there is rock and dust, and on the opposite side is a verdant landscape, lush and full of life. Your ancestors are waiting to see what you do—how you will meet this challenge. Will you give up and stay where you are? Will you turn around and backtrack? Will you find a way to cross the chasm and continue on your journey?

At one level of consciousness, you see only a vast chasm with no way across. Yet, if you can elevate your level of consciousness, you will see a pedestrian bridge rise from the bottom of the canyon and clip onto the other side so that you can walk across. At an even higher level of consciousness, you see that you can energetically transport yourself to the other side in a bubble of light, and at yet another higher level of consciousness, you look at the other side knowing that all you need to do to get there is to draw the opposite side of the canyon to you. Having done so, it is now just one small step between where you are and where you need to be. You create the optimal conditions for yourself to thrive, but even this is just the beginning. Once you are among the life forces of nature, you must open your heart to what’s around you, stay fully present, and embrace it all. Then you must ask yourself, “What if this is all there is?” What if it’s just you and Love? Can your ultimate destination be one in which you and Love coexist in unity and harmony?

Your ancestors couldn’t make the leap, and if they could have, you would already be there, on the other side. It would’ve been your starting point. Now they look to you. Every stride you make, every challenge you overcome, helps their souls evolve even further. Can you bridge the divide? Can you leave the comfort of what you know, even though it may not be nurturing you, and travel into the unknown?  Life asks nothing less of you.
