Trust in the Emptiness
You glisten. This is who you are. This is who you came here to be. It is time to own that simplicity; to own that clarity; to own your purity and the magnitude of who you are when you are joined with Love.
Trust in the emptiness. What would you feel like if you could completely empty yourself of all longings, all past traumas, all the things you think should be but aren’t? Just for this moment, allow yourself to be drained of all notions of what should be or should have been. Feel the glorious emptiness, the freedom that comes from releasing old thought forms.
The paradox is that the more you empty yourself, the more you recognize the fullness of your divinity because you have more space within you. That space that you create allows you to carry your divinity into the world in a more conscious and more concentrated way. This God-ness is always within you but sometimes it can only shine very dimly through the layers of dense thought forms. By letting them go, you can shine brighter, and brighter, and brighter. Then your very presence is what brings healing to the world. The ability to empty yourself of old thought forms is what allows you to be full.
See your body as filled with the light of Love. It’s always been there—Love is not looking for perfection before residing within you. It’s not waiting for you to become a perfect being because it sees perfection in all that you are; in all of your stages of development. Love doesn’t say, “I’m not going into that person until they stop hurting themselves.” Love is in there, suffering right alongside you, suffering with you, experiencing all of your joys and all of your hardships because it never separated from you and you never separated from It.
If you feel drawn to this teaching you can start your day with this prayer:
Love, I empty myself today
so that I may know what it feels like
to be filled with your presence.
So that I may know what it feels like
to see through your eyes.
So that I may know what it feels like
to speak through your voice.
So that I may know what it feels like
to live from my unity with you,
and by extension, my unity with all of creation.
End the day with this prayer (below), knowing that Love will never abandon you:
Love, I did my best. I’ll try again tomorrow.
When you need it to, Love will present itself to you as the archetypal great mother, never abandoning her child. When you need it to, Love will present itself as the archetypal father. Of course, Love has no gender but it will work with the structures within which you understand It.
Meditation Practice: Envision yourself standing barefooted at the edge of a white sand beach with crystal clear water lapping over your feet. The significance of the image is that you are being blessed. The water is washing away all that you let go of. The pristine water is a reminder of what you look like inside once you let go of all that no longer serves you. You become crystal clear, almost transparent in a way that allows you to carry more light and, like the sunlight reflecting off the water, you reflect light in every direction. You glisten. This is who you are. This is who you came here to be. It is time to own that simplicity; to own that clarity; to own your purity and the magnitude of who you are when you are joined with Love.
